2019

DNA had an exceptional season in 2019. At the Lake Superior Regional, DNA went undefeated and was ranked 1st out of 63 teams. As the only undefeated team they earned the first place alliance captain position. DNA remained undefeated during the quarterfinals, but ended their winning streak in the semifinals.

DNA was honored to win the Gracious Professionalism award which “Celebrates outstanding demonstration of FIRST Core Values such as continuous Gracious Professionalism® working together both on and off the playing field.” DNA also competed at the Great Northern Regional in Grand Forks, North Dakota. During qualification matches, DNA’s robot performed amazingly well going 6-3-1 through ten matches and was ranked 5th out of 52 teams.

During play-offs DNA was the 4th alliance captain and made their way into the semifinals where they were defeated. During the award ceremony DNA won the Industrial Design Award Sponsored by General Motors. Finally, DNA went to the State Tournament for the first time since 2016. DNA finished the qualification matches in 10th position. During alliance selection, DNA was chosen to join the fourth seed alliance. They made it all the way to the Championship match where they earned second place!
