2025

This past year was full of excitement and opportunities. DNA spent the weeks leading up to their first competition constructing their robot and teaching their new students all about the robotics team. At their first competition, the Northern Lights Regional in Duluth, MN, they were the first pick of alliance 5 but were eliminated after a close match in the 12th round.

Between their first and second competitions, they significantly improved their autonomous capabilities to be able to score more points. At their second competition, the Seven Rivers Regional in La Crosse, WI, they ranked 2nd and were the captain of the 2nd alliance, making it to the finals. They also earned the Autonomous Award, which “Celebrates the team that has demonstrated consistent, reliable, high-performance robot operation during autonomously managed actions”.

Due to their amazing performance, they earned an invite to the state competition and the World Championship in Houston, TX. Before Worlds, they made additional improvements to their robot, adding a ground intake and extending to their elevator. At the World Championship, they won 7 out of 10 matches with and against top teams from around the world. Between Worlds and the State Competition in St. Paul, MN, they continued to make further improvements to their robot’s climbing mechanism. Despite challenges, the team persevered and had   lots of fun at the State Competition.
