Build Season Week 3 Update

[metaslider id=5240 cssclass=” alignnormal”]

The third week of build season was a milestone for us as we transitioned from designing to building the robot. Before finalizing the designs for different game piece manipulators, we tested the prototypes a great deal and worked out most of the issues. With the finalized designs, we were able to begin cutting and milling parts to be welded.  We also used our CNC Router for the first time to cut some bearing blocks for our robot. Our field build sub-team is working on the last field element, the cargo ship, in order for us to test our robot with all of the field elements once it is built. The programming sub-team started writing a vision processing controller program. With this program, we hope to have the ability to aim at vision targets on the playing field. On the business side of the team, we are continuing to work on writing and editing our team’s Chairman’s presentation.

Stay tuned for the following weekly updates.   Thanks again for your support this year! Mark your calendars to come see us at our competition on March 8th and 9th at the DECC.
