2024

DNA spent the weeks leading up to their first competition in 2024 building their robot and teaching their new students all of the aspects of a robotics team. They competed at their first competition in Duluth, Mn at the Lake Superior Regional held at the Amsoil Arena.

During alliance selection DNA was the 1st pick of the 5th alliance, leaving the competition after a close match against the 8th alliance. At the award ceremony, DNA received the Innovation in Control Award, which “Celebrates an innovative control system or application of control components – electrical, mechanical or software – to provide unique machine functions.”

DNA then took upon themselves to construct an entirely new robot between their first and second competition, with only two weeks between the two! They completed their robot with the additions they wanted and competed at the Colorado Regional in Denver, Colorado. After a hard set of Qualification matches, DNA placed 13th overall and was the first pick of the 7th alliance. They made it all the way to the semifinals and were the only upset for the winning alliance during the playoffs.
