Cub Scouts

Last Saturday, we had the opportunity to help a group of eleven Cub Scouts learn about robotics. We taught the Cub Scouts about the robots we built and the process we use to build them. After, we helped every Cub Scout create a scribble bots using plastic cups, markers, motors, and lots duct tape. Lastly, we had them pair up to construct a propeller driven car bot. One very cool thing to see was the variety of designs that the kids came up with. Some made designs with a propeller that pushed working in tandem with a propeller that pulled. Others used a cup for its increased lightness and its aerodynamics. We enjoyed working with the Cub Scouts and hope to be invited back next year!
