Build Season Week 4 Update

[metaslider id=5353 cssclass=””]

Our team suffered a major setback this week due to school being canceled for three days in a row due to the extreme cold caused by the polar vortex. We were not able to hold practice on these days and therefore could not continue robot construction. Instead, team members worked on the Chairman’s presentation and other business-related projects from the warmth of their own homes. Now back in school, we are putting in long hours to make up for the lost build days. The electrical sub-team had many cooperative projects with both the programming and design teams this week. For the programmers, they wired an encoder, which was coded on the first try! For the designers, they got to work figuring out where the electrical board is going to fit on our robot that is quickly becoming congested. The build sub-team continued manufacturing parts for the apparatuses to be attached to our completed robot frame. Overall, even though we lost three days, we are working hard to get our schedule back on track.

Stay tuned for the following weekly updates. Thanks again for your support this year! Mark your calendars to come see us at our competition on March 8th and 9th at the DECC.
