Denfeld Nation Automation (DNA) Kickoff Update

Greetings,

Robotics build season is underway!  Last Saturday, FIRST Robotics released the 2024 game, Crescendo.  DNA attended a kickoff hosted by FRC team 5690 Subzero Robotics at Esko High School. They were joined by FRC teams, 7797 Ripsaw Robotics from Cloquet, and team 5232 Talons from Hermantown. This year’s challenge includes alliances picking up foam rings and shooting them into a goal on the field. Another feature of the challenge is climbing onto a length of chain. DNA is excited for this game because it offers many possibilities. For more information on this year’s game please check out the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9keeDyFxzY4 or search “FRC Crescendo” on Youtube.

After watching the reveal video, DNA, Esko, Cloquet, and Hermantown broke out into groups discussing different aspects of the competition and going over the rulebook. This year offers many new additions to the challenge not previously seen, it was very helpful to have such a large group to bounce ideas off one-another, finding ideas and questions. At the end of the day, after saying goodbye to the other robotics teams, DNA went to Elim Church to start brainstorming robot ideas, meeting up again on Sunday to continue brainstorming and getting ready to start prototyping on Monday when they returned to Denfeld.

We are very excited to begin the 2024 build season! In order to keep up with our progress, make sure to check out our social media sites.
