Build Season Week 2 Update

[metaslider id=4789 cssclass=” alignnormal”]

Week Two of build season was very eventful. Our design and build teams refined robot components to meet our strategy goals and began solidifying prototypes. The programming team has started learning about a new, lightweight, and powerful motor. It is the first brushless motor designed for FRC and is lighter and more powerful than traditional motors. We are very excited about the built-in encoder on these motors that will help with accurate positional control. Students wrote software that turns the motor a certain number of degrees consistently, quickly, and precisely. In field build, we constructed two more elements to practice on; the loading zone and rocket ship. Our graphics team created and refined our t-shirt logo incorporating the theme for this year’s game. We also began writing our Chairman’s presentation. Chairman’s is the most prestigious award in FIRST robotics.

Stay tuned for the following weekly updates. Thanks again for your support this year! Mark your calendars to come see us at our competition on March 8th and 9th at the DECC.
