Denfeld Nation Automation (DNA) FIRST Robotics Team 4009 competed at the Great Northern Regional in Grand Forks, North Dakota on March 15th and 16th, 2019. It was the team’s second regional competition this season.

During qualification matches, DNA’s robot performed amazingly well and went 6-3-1 through ten matches and was ranked 5th out of 52 teams. DNA was the 4th alliance captain and chose The Fighting Calculators Team 2175 from St. Paul, MN and Laser Robotics Team 2077 from Wales, WI as their alliance partners. During the play-offs DNA made their way through quarterfinals and into the semifinals where they were defeated by another high power alliance. In addition to their presence on the field, DNA also helped to make the event successful. They supplied volunteers for helping with robot inspection, safety advisor, field reset, and team queuing volunteers. During the award ceremony DNA was awarded the Industrial Design Award Sponsored by General Motor. This award “Celebrates form and function in an efficiently designed machine that effectively addressed the game challenge.”

DNA would like to again thank all of their generous sponsors and supporters for making it possible for them to compete.
