Build Season Week 5 Update

[metaslider id=5436 cssclass=””]

This week we missed another day of practice due to excessive snow. Fortunately, we had anticipated this day off and brought parts with us that we could weld offsite. The CAD sub-team worked hard through the snow day to complete our robot design in SolidWorks. We also used this snow day plan the last two weeks of build season. Our biggest accomplishment this week was completing and submitting our Chairman’s award presentation.

We have finished our competition t-shirt design and have been busy preparing for the robot reveal on February 15th. The build side of our team constructed some final components of our robot. We also wired a practice robot to test our code which is being finalized. In addition to building the robot, we began to design and create bumpers for the robot.

If you are out and about or looking for a reason to go on a field trip, check out this year’s robotics billboards! They are up and located off the northbound lane of I-35 on the right hand side of the road just before Hwy 210 (before the Black Bear Casino exit) and near Lake Superior College on Hwy 53 N.

Stay tuned for the following weekly updates. Thanks again for your support this year! Mark your calendars to come see us at our competition on March 8th and 9th at the DECC.
