Kickoff Update

On January 9th, the 2021 FIRST Robotics Competition Season Kickoff looked drastically different from past years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Students watched the live stream from their homes to learn about this year’s challenges, and then met over Zoom to further discuss the challenges. The FIRST Robotics Competition teams were given three challenges to evaluate and compete in this season.

The start of these challenges was the FIRST Innovation Challenge Presented by Qualcomm. The challenge asks students to identify a problem in the world, and create a solution using technology. The second challenge students were given was the FIRST Game Design challenge. Game Design is about creating an FRC game that is both challenging and innovative in the future. The final challenge is INFINITE RECHARGE at home. For this mission, students are tasked with doing at-home challenges that will simulate the INFINITE RECHARGE competitions held last year before the Covid-19 pandemic.

We are very excited to begin the 2021 season! In order to keep up with our progress, make sure to check out our social media sites.
