The Great Northern Regional

Denfeld Nation Automation (DNA) FIRST Robotics Team 4009 competed at the first annual Great Northern Regional held in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

On the first day of qualification matches, Friday March 2nd, DNA won 6 of our 7 matches, placing 2nd overall. On Saturday March 3rd DNA competed in 4 more matches, ending in 10th place overall. During alliance selections DNA moved up to the 7th alliance captain. They chose Centurions, team 2472 from Circle Pines, and Data Bits team 3883 from Cottage Grove as their alliance partners for the playoff rounds and finished off the regional in the Quarter-Finals. DNA is also competing in the Lake Superior Regional starting on March 15th next Thursday.

One of our team captains Kaleb Robison was awarded Dean’s List Finalist, and will be attending World Championships in Detroit to compete with other Dean’s List finalists. DNA also received the Pit Of The Day Award for keeping the pit neat and orderly.
