Gitchi Gummi Get-Together 2019

[metaslider id=6235 cssclass=””]

Our team competed at the Gitchi Gummi Get-Together on Friday July 19th and 20th, 2019. The Gitchi Gummi is an off-season tournament that we attend each year to train in new drive teams and bond with local robotics teams.

Our robot performed admirably during the qualification matches. We went 8-3-1 earning a spot as the second place alliance captain. During the alliance selection we chose Granite City Gear Heads Team 3244 and KING TeC Team 2169, forming a high power alliance. During the semi-final matches we succumbed  to another high power alliance, but this did not end our time on the field. We went on to play in a match to determine third place where we succeeded in bringing home the third place trophy.

In addition to our presence on the field, we also helped with set-up and take-down of the field. We also supplied volunteers to help with queuing, field set-up, scoring and safety advisory. Our students also helped by leading a seminar on CAD.

We would like to thank all of their generous sponsors and supporters for making it possible for us to compete.
